Should Citi Bike raise its prices?

Citi Bike, the cycle-sharing system that launched just under a year ago, was a hit out of the gate. But the system is losing money, and the operator is considering a price hike, new Transportation Commissioner Polly Trottenberg said recently. Currently, it costs $95 for an annual membership, which allows an unlimited number of 45-minute trips. A seven-day pass costs $25, while the daily variety goes for $9.95.
